Cuss Words
I have always had this really firm stand against cuss words and using them (Ephesians 4:29).
But in the past month and a half, I have heard no less than 4 close Christian friends whom I highly respect say cuss words (people that have basically shocked me). They haven’t been excessive, but it’s making me wrestle with my own thoughts regarding cussing because I just don’t think it’s right.
Maybe in this regard, I’m what Paul would call a “weaker” Christian (as much as some would say don’t drink, or don’t smoke), and I should just get over it and accept it regardless. But I always had a personal conviction about not saying cuss words or letting people say them around me. I’m not sure if I should bring it up next time I hear one, or let it slide.
Just some things I’m thinking about.
What do you think?
